Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has demanded that Smriti Irani‘s name be added to the FIR lodged in the Rohith Vemula suicide case.
“She should also immediately apologise to the entire nation for playing dirty caste politics and trying to water down the case of dalit scholar Rohith Vemula’s death by issuing one false statement after another,”
“The statements of Irani are shameful,” Kejriwal alleged, accusing her of unnecessarily ‘raising questions over Vemula’s caste’ and failing in her duty ‘to get justice for people who were wronged’ “What they have done is a non-bailable offence,”
Referring to Dattatreya’s Letter, Arvind Kejriwal said: “In the letters he has used three words — ‘anti-nationalist’, ‘casteist’ and ‘extremist’. This is shameful. How can students who believe in the ideology of B R Ambedkar be any of these?” Read More
