CBSE announced NEET Exam Results 2016: phases 1 & 2, counselling, Allotment of seats
NEET 2016 Results has been declared now. It is reported that The CBSE has announced the results of NEET exam — phases 1 and 2. The result was expected to release on August 17, tomorrow but the Board has just released the result. Very Unexpected. NEET 2 is NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE (UG) TEST-II, 2016 is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Now Next step will be counselling, Allotment of seats.
8,02,594 candidates applied for NEET 2016 exam out of of which 7,31,223 took the NEET 2016 exam. 19,325 students qualified in the top 15%, of which 11,058 are boys, 8,266 girls, and 1 is a transgender. Though out of the 7,31,223 students who took the two editions of NEET-Undergraduate 2016-17, 4,09,477 qualified as per Medical Council of India’s regulations. Nine transgenders had written the exam and four qualified. Girls outnumbered boys in qualifying the test for admission to undergraduate medical courses, as per the results declared by the CBSE, even though there were 11,058 males compared to 8,266 female applicants in the top 15 percent.
NEET 2016 exam was held on May 1 and July 24. NEET has been under controversies and been a subject of political debate. In fact, over 80 cases opposing the NEET was filed – two of these by state governments and the rest by private and minority institutes.

Enter your roll number and date of birth
Click on submit
Results will be displayed on the screen and note it down for future reference

counselling for seats in NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST-II (UG)
The counselling for seats in medical and dental colleges is expected to be held between 22 and 25 August. In a release, CBSE said that in compliance with the Supreme Court directives, it had conducted NEET-I and NEET-II on 1 May and 24 July, respectively. It said that while declaring the result of both NEET-I and NEET-II as a combined result of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-UG, 2016, the orders of the apex court have been complied with.
WHAT IS NEET (UG) – 2016 NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST-II (UG)
As per the directives of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the Ordinances promulgated by the Central Government on 24.05.2016, NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST-II (UG), 2016 will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
The AIPMT-2016/NEET- I was conducted on 1 st May, 2016. NEET-II will be conducted on Sunday, the 24 th July, 2016. The judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and Ordinances is uploaded on NEET website.
The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing All India Rank to the Counseling Authorities and Admitting Institutions.
