‘Comedy Nights Live’ first episode was aired  yesterday  on Colors channel  at same time as Comedy Nights With Kapil(CNWK)  on the very same set  but  failed  to create the same magic.

From the time promos of the premier episode of Comedy Nights Live first came out, it was  shocking  , how they  were openly insulting the previous star of the show, Kapil sharma.

But in the same very first episode they were seen  trying hard to fit  in the shoes of the previous ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil.’

The first episode was really dull and lack the essential humor .

This episode had singer Mika Singh replacing the position of Navjot Singh Siddhu .  Madhuri Dixit Nene came  as the first guest on the  Comedy Nights Live .Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh and Sudesh Lehri are the main comedians of the show .

Madhuri Dixit was a good sport throughout the episode and danced to several numbers from her old movies . As far as comedy was concerned, it was Bharti Singh who took  the show and NOT Krushna Abhishek (who was hyped to replace Kapil Sharma). Bharti was playing a  boyish character today and gave us some decent laughs. It was nice  to see her calling herself as the son of Bitoo Sharma,  the name of Kapil Sharma on ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’. Mika entertained us with a song in the beginning and end of the episode.

 The absence of the famous comedian was felt throughout the episode. A very few jokes managed to makes us laugh. Krushna  and his team  desperately  tried to live up to CNWK, but sadly they were not upto the mark. The jokes centered around Kapil were not in a good taste, although Bharti as the son of Bitoo Sharma  was seen praising and defending the man.  It  was very similar to Comedy Nights Bachao, with the comedians firing  on  one another, the guest and the TV channel itself.

So  in a nutshell ‘Comedy night live’ is going to remind us always how badly  we are  missing  Kapil and his  ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’.
