Guru Nanak Sahib was born on 15th April, 1469 at Rai-Bhoi-di Talwandi in the present district of Shekhupura (Pakistan), now Nanakana Sahib.

Every year Indian Sikhs will arrive in Pakistan to celebrate the 546th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, at his birthplace Nankana Sahib near here in Punjab province.
