Prashant Kishor suggests Rahul Gandhi be CM Candidate in upcoming UP Assembly elections 2017
Master Election Doctor and strategist Prashant Kishor has strongly suggested that Rahul Gandhi be made the party’s face in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2017. Prashant Kishor is credited for bringing Nitish back to power and Lalu from being politically dead, so it will be interesting to see how congress and their Prince reacts.
But certainly it will be a demotion to Rahul Gandhi considering His PM post dreams.
Highly placed sources in the Congress told India Today that Kishor feels the only way the party can come back to power in 2019, is if people start believing that the Congress vice president can lead them to victory in an election. He feels the best place to start the experiment is the politically-important state of Uttar Pradesh.
However, if Rahul does not agree to the proposal, Priyanka Gandhi may be made the party’s face in Uttar Pradesh. In case both disagree, the Kishor will be suggesting the name of former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit.
